The Sanctuary Point Rural Fire Services brigade turned out to show kids through the fire truck.
Snow cones were a hit on the sweltering hot afternoon.
Local residents donated decorative cupcakes and scones for the cause.
There were $5 Santa photos and kids enjoyed the jumping castle.
Dozens of kids got their faces painted.
Ashton’s carer Kiri Chatfield was pleased with the turn out at the Greville Corner Store.
Funds raised will go towards Sanctuary Point’s Ashton Palmer, 10, who needs a wheelchair accessible van, so that he can use his powered wheelchair at school excursions, family outings and medical appointments.
Ashton lives with Duchenne’s Muscular Distrophy, a lifelong progressive neuromuscular condition.
