The young couple from Nowra Christian School shone in the HSC, with Lauren receiving a Band 6 in Biology and Maths and Bailey taking out a Band 6 in Advanced Maths and Biology.
Both Lauren and Bailey have received early entry to the University of Wollongong.
Lauren plans to study a Bachelor of Pre Medicine, Science and Health, while Bailey will join her with a Bachelor of Science (Bionanotechnology)
Bailey also received a $5000 scholarship from UOW to help with his studies.
While both said they studied consistently throughout the year, it was still a relief when the all-important text message came through with their results on Thursday morning.
“I was just going to check the time and then I had a little mini heart attack seeing the text there,” Lauren said.
“I first went to tell Dad but then he went and got Mum so I could tell them both together. They were happy, they just wanted me to do my best and be happy too.”

After first sharing his good news with Lauren, Bailey quickly called his parents, who he said “screamed down the phone” with excitement.
Bailey’s mum Janeen said she’s very proud of both Bailey and Lauren.
“He was just awesome and studied so hard,” she said.
“They’re both pretty clever.”
Bailey plans to go down a medical research or pharmaceutical pathway and will start his studies next year.
Lauren has her sights set on becoming a doctor and will join Bailey at UOW in 2019, after first taking a year out to build her medical skills and undertake a First Aid course.
HSC students will find out their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) from 9am on Friday, December 14.
