A 17-year-old Nowra boy charged over the alleged glassing of another teenager at Culburra Beach in October has appeared in court.

The teenager pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm by an unlawful act before Magistrate David Williams in Nowra Children’s Court.
Police claim between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on October 21 at Culburra Beach the teenager allegedly struck another boy, who was with a group of friends at a campfire on the beach, with a bottle before punching him repeatedly in the face.
The injured boy was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital, suffering a suspected fractured jaw.
The teenager will reappear in court on February 8.
