This will be Maddinson’s seventh season with the men in magenta – having played 46 matches during that stretch.
To date, Maddinson has scored 1058 runs, including 43 sixes, at a strike rate of 130.3 – with a high score of 85.
The Sixers will open the 2017/18 competition on Tuesday, December 19 against the Sydney Thunder at Spotless Stadium.
This match will be followed by clashes against Perth Scorchers (December 23), Adelaide Strikers (December 28), Perth Scorchers (January 1), Melbourne Renegades (January 3), Hobart Hurricanes (January 8), Sydney Thunder (January 13), Melbourne Stars (January 16), Brisbane Heat (January 18) and Melbourne Stars (January 28) – with finals starting on February 1.
