Culburra Amateur Fishing Club held its latest fishing weekend on December 2-3.

The weather on Saturday made it almost impossible to wet a line.

Thankfully Sunday started well with the wind turning offshore.

It was light to start and the sun was shining.

We had 14 keen people get a line in the water and had fish to weigh in on Sunday, including two juniors.

Nine fished beach, rock and estuary and five in deep sea.

A total of 57 fish made the scales.

Winners were:

Deep sea.

1st Michael Daldy

2nd Bob Bell

3rd Jim Paterson

Beach, rock and estuary:

1st Arthur Bowles

2nd Brian Smith

3rd Steve Wellington

Juniors:

1st Madylene Daldy

2nd Olivia Daldy

Fish caught during this month’s outing included bream, flathead, kingfish, morwong, trevally, snapper, flounder and tailor.
