The popular annual event will be held on Thursday, December 14.
Hundreds of bike riders dressed as Santa, Mrs Claus and their helpers are once again expected to fill the streets of Vincentia and Huskisson as they pedal towards the Huskisson and enjoy the evening’s Christmas festivities.
Last year 430 riders joined the fun in what has become a local tradition for a great cause.
The proceeds of the ride go to local Rural Fire Brigades to help with new equipment, training and other activities that enable them to respond to emergencies and assist our local communities.
“The ride is a fun way to support your local RFS brigade and a great tradition. Seeing a sea of Santas is quite a sight and we really appreciate the community support,” Huskisson Rural Fire Brigade Captain Joe Revesz said.
The event is supported by local businesses who donate raffle prizes, cover ride administration costs and provide logistical support.
“The local community make this ride happen and it’s great to be a part of such a supportive and enthusiastic community,” Joe said.
This year the organisers hope to beat their ride record of 627 riders.
The ride starts at Vincentia Public School and ends at the ‘Huskisson’ where riders are treated to a free sausage sandwich and refreshments.
