Police have arrested a man following the alleged armed robbery of a service station at Culburra Beach on Sunday evening, less than one hour after the incident occurred.

About 6.20pm (December 3), police were called to the business on Prince Edward Avenue, Culburra Beach, after a report a man armed with a screwdriver and machete had allegedly threatened the console operator.
Police were told the man left the store with a sum of cash.
Officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command established a crime scene and began searching the local area, with inquiries leading them to a property in Brighton Parade.
Police set up a perimeter around the home with a 20-year-old man arrested a short time later.
He was taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail and will appear in Nowra Local Court on Monday (December 4).
