Callala Veterans

What fabulous weather for Vets’ golf at Callala with the format being a team game of two-person Multiplier.

The winning team of Carmel Downton and James Morris played a near perfect game of partner golf with both supporting each other to achieve a terrific score of 100 points.

Carmel must have enjoyed winning on Saturday so thought she may as well take advantage of her current great form to come home today with a personal score of 45 points.

Congratulations to worthy winners Carmel and James.

Runner up team consisted of two players who have both recently enjoyed a run of great golf games and today was just a continuation of their talent with the sticks.

Nowra Women

WOMEN’S 4 PERSON HARTBALL AMBROSE

When 41 lady golfers took to the tees some were confused as to how to play the game.  Two players tee off and two players putt and all in between, then it gets confusing when every hole the tee off and putting players change.  Laughter and cheering could be heard over the course.

With great weather and lots of run the scores sure showed:-

First Placegetters with a wonderful score of 58.87 Anne Newton, Sandra Rigney, Linda Weatherill and Cathy Ison.

Congratulations girls on a terrific score

Second Placegetters with a score of 62.25 Val Wilson, Lorna Knott, Carol Cowden and Des Thornett

Third Placegetters with a score of 63.62 Sue Hunter, Margaret Jennings, Sandra England and Ellen Ryan

No NTP’s this week so all players received a ball for their great efforts.

As the golfing season is getting closer to our last game for the year tomorrow Thursday 7th December is 2 Person Single Stableford Multiplier Sponsored by Wendy Phillips.

Callala

The Golf Exchange sponsored Callala 11th hole still remains unconquered, now standing at an awesome $295. Want a fabulous Christmas Present, come and play with us next Saturday and try your skill/luck.

Monthly Medal single stroke was the format for today’s competition which was well supported by a good field of keen members all vying for the prizes and medals on offer.

Win lose or draw all members were happy knowing that at the conclusion of their game the lovely Gordana Sesum would be waiting with smile and a lovely lunch for them. Big thanks to Gordana.

The old adage of “Winner’s are grinners and the rest can suit themselves” was never truer than in today’s game. John Love obvious enjoyed his win last weekend so much that he thought he would do it again and did it in style with a very large grin to accompany his win. Congratulations John on your great golf to give you outright win along with the “A” grade Medal.

Welcome back to runner up winner Alan Barnes who has only just re-joined Saturday comp after a spell away from the rigors of competition. Congratulations Alan, good to have you back playing with us and to also seeing you return into the winner’s circle plus you also taking out the “B” Grade Monthly Medal.

Not to be left out of the action, Barry Jarman stormed home into third overall and in doing so also claimed the “C” Grade Monthly Medal. Congratulations Barry and commiserations on being on the wrong side of the count back with Alan with both of you coming home with 64 Points.
