Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis fought for $600,000 so council can finish off fencing, pathways, the war memorial and the road near Voyager Park.
“The path’s half-done, it looks quite shabby,” Huskisson RSL sub branch member Barry Edwards said.
“The memorial, to the rear, is not complete.
“It’ll be brilliant to see it done.”
The memorial was erected to mark the sinking of the HMAS Voyager, and the loss of 82 lives on board.
It also honours the soldiers from the area who died in combat.
The memorial is used for Anzac Day, Remembrance Day and loss of Voyager ceremonies.
More than 4000 people, mainly from out of the area, mark Anzac Day at Voyager Park, making it all the more crucial to have the memorial completed.
