The Nowra Showground is fast becoming a graveyard and it was Berry’s turn to feel the wrath on the weekend.
Berry batted first on Saturday and only made 108 runs in the wet and difficult conditions.
Nowra cruised to victory and at stumps had posted a match winning score of 4/112.
A few Berry batsmen got off to reasonable starts but did not go on with the job.
Aaron Coutts-Smith 22 runs, Blygh Herron 17 runs, Tom King 17 runs and Connor Edenden 12 runs all started off their innings off with promising intent, but they did not make Nowra pay.
The Nowra attack worked well as a pack and Luke Stevenson, John King, Justin Rumble and Joel Lahene all took two wickets.
Berry, when Herron took the wicket of Justin Wallace without score, got off to the perfect start but Nowra batted itself out of trouble.
Ryan Henry and Lewis O'Brien put Nowra back in control with a 54 run partnership for the second wicket.
Henry was in great touch and his 49 runs came off just 59 balls, with five boundaries and six.
Alex Legge, after O’Brien was dismissed for 23 runs, decided it was not the day to run and his 36 runs came from just 20 balls with six boundaries and a six.
All other second grade matches were called off due to the wet conditions.
