Around 11.45pm police attached to Shoalhaven Target Action Group attempted to stop a black Mazda sedan in Paradise Beach Road Sanctuary Point.
The car allegedly fled from police, with a pursuit started.
The chase continued through various streets of both St Georges Basin and Sanctuary Point with the vehicle reaching speeds alleged to have been 120km in 50km areas.
The pursuit was continued by police attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command until it ended with the car stopping the car park of the St Georges Basin Country Club where the 17-year-old driver and several other people ran from the car.
After a short foot pursuit police found two alleged passengers from the vehicle, and the driver, a short distance away, hiding in bushes.
All were arrested, with the driver charged with various serious driving offences including police pursuit (Skyes Law), and also being a disqualified driver.
Inquiries revealed the driver had earlier stolen the car from his grandmother in Kogarah and made his way to the South Coast area.
The youth appeared before Nowra Children’s Court on Saturday morning where he was refused bail. He was to reappear at Parramatta Children’s Court on Sunday morning.
