NOWRA Police are investigating an altercation in the Nowra CBD in the early hours of Sunday, which left a man with serious facial injuries.

About 12.45am numerous police responded to reports of a male having been assaulted and unconscious in Junction Street, Nowra, about 50 metres east of the Postmans Tavern.
Police said information indicates several parties were involved in an altercation within the licensed premises where they were removed, and the incident escalated in the street to where two men became involved in a violent altercation.
One of the men ended up unconscious on the ground, with blood coming from his mouth and nose.
NSW Ambulance treated the man who was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital for assessment where it is believed he has a fractured eye socket.
A further male was located with friends nearby, also suffering facial injuries.
Police inquiries into the matter are continuing.

It is the second major assault incident in the Nowra CBD in past few weeks. Around 1.20am on November 5 police were called to the intersection of Junction and Berry streets in relation to an assault, finding a 21-year-old Bomaderry man on the ground with injuries to his face/mouth.
