Kinghorn Motors first grade defeated by Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens. The team suffered their first loss of the season - but it wasn't all negative, with some great performances including a solid debut by Matt Hiriart. Having been sent out to field, Bomaderry had a horror start as Ex-Servos’ batsmen got off to a blinding start. It took a piece of magic in the field from debutante to stop Daniel Gleeson in his tracks – but by the time this happened the damage was mostly done. Michael Coulter (1/32) and Justin Ganderton (2/62) did what they could but Ex-Servos posted 272. In reply, Bomaderry got off to the perfect start with the Coulter boys sharing a 70-run opening stand. Michael again dominant with the bat making 51. Support was shown by a number of starts through the middle order, particularly tiger of the match Justin Ganderton (51) before reaching 230 in response.
Ella Bache second grade defeated Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens. The team set Ex-Servos 162 for victory after batting first in their one day match, with Matthew Bell (48) top scoring. After the change of innings, Bomaderry's opening bowlers did all the damage to ensure the win – bowling the opposition out for 128. Anthony Johnston (4/22) and tiger of the match Matthew Bell (2/13) were the chief destroyers.
Kel Campbell third grade defeated by Batemans Bay. The team travelled to the Bay and experienced their first loss for the season, losing by 42 runs. A strong bowling performance, led by young Seb Jeffrey (5/22), Bomaderry restricted the Bay to 172. However, this proved to be far too much for the Tigers with no significant contributions with the willow in response. Most of the top order failed to make double figures before opening bowler Nathan Wallace scored 33. Tiger of the match was Seb Jeffrey.
Bomaderry Super Cellars fourth grade defeated Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens. The win was largely set up by their first innings score of 185 – with openers Max Whelan and Nick Kuncio (39) putting on a partnership of 63. Big hitters Brad Ingram (30) and Craig Kuncio (23 not out) then ensured a competitive total was posted. In reply, Max Whelan starred, this time with the ball this time, with 5/18, helping his side bowl Ex-Servos out for 130. In doing so, Whelan earned tiger of the match honours.
Jaffa Images u16s – were always going to find it hard to defend their week one score of 124. North Nowra-Cambewarra Maroons played well, scoring 8/197 to take the win comfortably. John Ulrick finished with #/26 while Chantelle Downey and Lorcan Edwards-Villalta both took two wickets each. Tiger of the match was John Ulrick with 34 runs and three wickets.
Bomaderry Bowling Club u12s – travelled to Ulladulla and after winning the toss and sending Ulladulla in to bat, were close to bowling them all out at 9/107. The girls gave the boys a bowling lesson, with Ella Dyball (2/6) and Talea Miller (2/12) starring. In reply, a combination of a only having 10 players, a slow field and a few run outs meant the Tigers only managed 9/50 – with Jackson Ingram (16) and Elijah Guyatt (11) top scoring. Tiger of the match was Jackson Ingram with 16 runs, one wicket and four catches.
Precision Dent Removals u11s – took on a strong Berry-Shoalhaven Heads Whites. Berry batted first and ended a massive score of 5/240, with Toni Anning, Finn Beech, Tamsyn Anning and Casey Lalor all taking one wicket. Chasing a massive total was always going to be hard and after losing quite a few wickets, the Tigers ended at 14/90, with Tamsyn Anning top scoring with 14. Other run scorers were Jack Woods (13), Lindsay Muller (10) and Toni Anning (10). Tiger of the match was Tasmyn Anning with 14 runs, one wickets and a handy catch.
