The Nowra Aquatic Park and Bomaderry Aquatic Centre will host the under 14s and under 16s State Championships – involving more than 100 athletes from country clubs from across the NSW.
“It is very exciting to be taking our State Championships to the South Coast for the first time,” event coordinator Ethan Rogers said.
“It’s a beautiful part of the State and it has a lot of potential for hosting future events.”
Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council Amanda Findley said she was excited to welcome another elite sport to the region.
“Shoalhaven City Council is pleased to welcome Water Polo NSW to the Shoalhaven, we are proud to host this event in Nowra,” Findley said.
“The Nowra Aquatic Park was designed to host similar events and it is great to see the facilities being used in this way.”
