After winning their opening two matches against Riverina and Illawarra, ACT-Southern faced off against Central Coast for a spot against Newcastle in November 25 decider.
“Personally, I thought I played alright the first two days, scoring 27 and then 31,” Munilla said.
“I got some starts but didn't go on with them – I would of liked to perform a little better than I did but the standard of cricket was much higher than I expected.”
At Geoff Shaw Oval on Sunday, ACT-Southern won the toss and chose to bat.
However Central Coast were on top right from the get go, following the dismissal of Munilla for one, eventually bowling ACT-Southern out for 166.
Central Coast were fairly comfortable in chasing the total, reaching 4/167 in 45.1 overs.
“On Sunday, our team as a whole just didn't bat well enough,” Munilla said.
“166 on a really good pitch just wasn't enough runs – we did perform really well with the ball though but we were probably 40 runs short of what would of won us the game.
“The boys never gave up and pushed them to the end, which was good to see.
“The experience as a whole was great – the standard of cricket across Country NSW is looking very healthy.
“I played against some really talented players over the three days and got to meet a lot of good blokes from act zone as well, which was great.”
Central Coast will now play northern division winners Newcastle at Bradman Oval in Bowral on November 25.
