Four wins in a row for Bay and Basin

BAY and Basin chalked up their fourth straight win on Saturday, defeating Nowra at Lyrebird Sports Park.

After choosing to bat first, the visitors posted 122 from 31 overs, led by a slashing 41 from Tobias Hanger.

For the hosts, the top performers with the cherry were Tom White (3/22), Brendan Hedger (2/19) and Adam Watson (2/32).

In reply, three wickets each from Troy Cole (3/12) and Paul Brett (3/20) saw the hosts dismissed for just 69.

At Ulladulla Sports Park, hosts Ulladulla United lost to Berry-Shoalhaven Heads.

With the bat, United made 99, thanks to 43 from Terry Dorrell – with Timothy Duggan (3/14) and John Ulrick (3/17) taking three wickets for Berry.

In reply, Berry struggled early but knocks from John Ulrick (18), Evan Logan (16) and Kane Armstrong (14) guided them past the total (8/100).

Dale Ramsden and Michael Ramsden took two wickets each for United in the loss.

At the Bomaderry Sporting Complex, Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens edged out Culburra.

Batting first, Culburra posted 172, with Shaun Burton (41) top-scoring – as Barry Cumberland took 3/16 for Ex-Servos.

In response, half centuries from Rahul Nuthakki (64) and Andrew Wilson (54) steered Ex-Servos to 6/173 despite Michael Ashby’s 3/15.

The final match of the round saw Batemans Bay defeat Bomaderry at Hanging Rock (Astro).

After being sent in, Pat Griffin’s 67 guided Bay to 9/172 despite Sebastian Jeffrey’s 5/22.

In reply, Bomaderry could only muster 130 thanks to two wickets each from trio Mark Templeman, Sean Griffin and Meljoy Dcunha. 

Nathan Wallace top-scored for the Tigers with 33.

Sussex Inlet had the bye in round four.
