With a spring in their steps the junior cricket players got stuck into the matches on Saturday all around the Shoalhaven.

Teams, at some grounds paused for Remembrance Day.

If the North Nowra Cambewarra under 16s players werre worried about the getting the runs it needed to beat Bomaderry/Ex-Servicemens at the Bomaderry Sporting Complex than they were not showing it.

Norths looked quietly confident but needed to overcome the loss of a wicket it suffered in the second over of the match.

Just metres away a fun modified match was being played and youngster Oscar Simister was a happy lad after hitting his first boundary.

Two grounds were used at Bernie Regan Oval and Norths were batting stoutly in under 16s match against Bateman Bay and were looking to increase the run rate.

Berry and Norths, on the other ground, were playing a close modified match with plenty of action.
