Combined Churches volunteers raise $1,700 for emergency relief

The Combined Churches of Gerringong wishes to extend a big thank you to all who supported their annual Community Food Drive.

The group also wanted to give a big shoutout to Matt and the staff at Khan’s IGA Gerringong for all the help and support they were given to make the food drive a success.

The IGA trolley provided was generously filled every day for two weeks. Food items amounted to 1200, with the food distributed to the Community Care Cottage in Nowra for emergency relief.

Cash donations were received thanks to Khan’s IGA Gerringong providing a table in the shop with church volunteers collecting an amount of $1,700. The money will also be used for emergency relief purposes.

“The spirit of giving was evident to all and will greatly help those who are in need of help,” Irene Clingan said.

“God’s blessings to everyone who have been a part of this Community Food Drive.”
