A Narooma woman who threatened to hit police officers with a wine bottle has escaped a jail term.

Court papers said Lola Joyce Darcey, 42, had been at a Ninevah Close address in Nowra on June 21, allegedly drinking with her mother and uncle.
Around 8.20pm Darcey’s demeanour changed suddenly, she becoming agitated and verbally abused her mother and uncle, threatening to punch her mother.
They managed to lock Darcey out of the home before calling police.
When police arrived, they approached Darcey, who was standing on a back verandah.
Police said she started abusing officers.
She was holding a wine bottle at the time and as officers tried to reason with her she allegedly continued drinking.
She threatened to throw the bottle at police and despite an officer drawing a taser Darcey refused to put the bottle down.
Officers were forced to use capsicum spray to subdue her, before removing the bottle and arresting her.
She pleaded guilty to intimidating police, resisting arrest and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming placed Darcey on a 13-month suspended jail sentence.
