A Nowra woman charged with cruelty to animals has appeared in Nowra Local Court. Janine Marion, 46, did not enter any pleas to charges of animal cruelty and failing to comply with a court order. Court papers said in May this year Marion had a number of dogs under her care in overcrowded, wet and filthy conditions. In 2013 she was ordered by the court not to possess any animals for five years but between November 2016 and May 2017, she took control of five puppies. She will reappear on December 8.
