A SafeWork NSW investigation has been launched into the death of a mechanic at a Termeil drilling buisness on Monday, October 23.

“SafeWork NSW is investigating after a 27-year-old male suffered fatal injuries in an incident at a drilling services business on the Princes Highway, Termeil near Ulladulla on Monday,” a SafeWork NSW spokesperson said.
Emergency services were called to the business, near Boardinghouse Road, shortly after 4.40pm when the man became trapped underneath a 23-tonne water tanker.

“Initial inquiries indicate the man was conducting maintenance on a truck when it has rolled and struck him,” a SafeWork NSW spokesperson said.
The organisation has launched a “full investigation” which will examine all factors that contributed to the incident.
Ulladulla Ambulance, Police and Fire and Rescue officers along with the NSW Toll Air Ambulance helicopter responded to the accident, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
