The Shoalhaven Community Choir will be singing and hosting a fundraising breakfast from 9.15am to noon at Hyper Hyper Coffee, 85 North Street, Nowra.
The group supports a new charity or individual every three months and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all funds raised will support this cause.
The breakfast will kick off with a sausage sizzle and other breakfast and morning tea treats, including scones, pikelets, muffins and biscuits. A raffle will also be held.
Shoalhaven Community Choir began in May. The group welcomes new members of all ages and abilities. No audition is required.
The choir has 38 members ranging in age from 26 to 85.
One of the choir’s members Suzanne Hammond-Warne said they’re a fun, relaxed, inclusive group of people who just love singing.
“They sing a wide range of songs from all different genres and decades,” she said.
“Our aim is to have the community sing along with us as we know it improves health and well-being. One of our core values is to help others in the community in need through fund raising activities.”
