Volunteers were presented with a cheque on Wednesday, October 18 by Nowra NRMA staff.
Donations were received from NRMA customers for a month, kicking off from Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW) day on May 10.
The event sees community members don their brightest oranges to show their support for SES volunteers.
NRMA staff member Gisela Hobbs said it was important funds stayed in the Nowra region.
“We wanted it to be about local people donating funds directly to the local SES, rather than it go to each organisations headquarters,” she said.
“People were more willing to donate when they knew it would stay here.”
SES team leader Alex Kitto said it’s not known yet what the donation will go towards, but last years helped with the purchase of light weight jackets.
