Now in its seventh year, a Taste of Christmas will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 10am to 3pm.
The event aims to support SECET, the Shoalhaven Employers of Christian Education Teachers.
Organiser Jillian Cheek encouraged everyone to join in the fun, enjoy a high tea and pick up some Christmas goodies.
“We’ve been supporting scripture teachers in the Shoalhaven for the last 25 years and this year we’re hoping to raise $20,000,” she said.
“It costs about $1100 a day to keep scripture teachers in our schools.”
Ms Cheek said there will be something for everyone at a Taste of Christmas.
“We have this lovely garden set up with stalls so you can buy handmade Christmas gifts, cakes and cookies, and if you’re a bloke you can go to the mancave and drive your wife made by buying something to take home,” she said.
Entry is $10 on the day and children under 12 are free.
There will be a children’s entertainment corner, with ducks and chooks even joining the fun.
Hundreds of plants will also be for sale.
More than 100 volunteers are involved in bringing the event together. Sue Weissel has been busily preparing her garden ahead of the big day.
“For your $10 fee, come along and have the most marvellous Christmas themed afternoon or morning tea cooked by Sue and many others, all in the setting of this beautiful garden,” Jillian said.
A Taste of Christmas will be held at 82 Terara Road, Terara. For more information contact Sue on 4421 6321.
