Sussex Inlet Tavern will be hosting a Light the Night event on Saturday, October 21.
Now in its 10th year, the Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night fundraiser brings Australia’s blood cancer community together in more than 140 locations to reflect during a moving ceremony and short lantern walk.
Registration and lantern collection will open at 5.30pm and the program will get underway at 6pm. The lantern raising ceremony and Light the Night Walk will begin at 7.15pm, before the event wraps up at 8.30pm.
There will be plenty of food and entertainment on offer.
Light The Night aims to raise over $20,000 to help provide the support and services local families need to beat their blood cancer.
Those attending hold gold lanterns to remember loved ones lost to blood cancer and white lanterns if they’ve been diagnosed themselves. Blue lanterns are proudly raised in support by friends, family, workmates and the wider community.
