Jack O'Gorman, owner of the inaugural Illawarra Spring Fair champion cow, will be at the fair, and former Illawarra Cattle Society president Geoff Cochrane, is hoping he will present some of the winning ribbons.
“We have had 46 different judges in the past 50 years and all of those who are still alive have been invited to our special show,” Mr Cochrane said.
“We have also attempted to invite all former exhibitors.”
We have a collection of photos of all but two of the Bellrigers over the 50-years and they will be on display at the fair and also the celebration dinner that night.

Cattle entered in the show are coming from as far away as Bega and the Hunter Valley.
Judging is scheduled for Thursday morning with a sale of elite Illawarras being held after lunch, auctioned by world renowned auctioneer Brian Leslie of DLS.
Mr Leslie himself judged the Spring Fair in 1995.
“We have a collection of photos of all but two of the Bellrigers over the 50-years and they will be on display at the fair and also the celebration dinner that night,” Mr Cochrane said.
“Illawarra federal delegates from all over Australia will be on hand to witness the spectacle, as the Illawarra Cattle Society of Australia will be holding its annual meeting and Board meeting the following day.”
