The drop-in session will provide the community with an opportunity to share feedback and find out more information about work planned to be carried out on Moss Vale Road across the next eight months.
The drop-in session will be held at the courtyard near 160 Moss Vale Road, Kangaroo Valley between 9am and midday.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward said it was planned to carry out essential safety work on Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry, Kangaroo Valley and Cambewarra which would include full road closures.
“Sections of Moss Vale Road on Barrengarry Mountain and Cambewarra Mountain are narrow and steep with curves in the road making it dangerous to place moving traffic and workers on the road at the same time,” Mr Ward said.
“Carrying out work while the road is closed allows more work to be done in a shorter time frame, minimising the disruption to local residents and motorists.”
To minimise the impact on the community work is scheduled to avoid weekends, holiday periods and local events, including the Kangaroo Valley Show.
“Where it is safe and possible to do so, we are planning work at other locations on Moss Vale Road by closing one lane to traffic,” he said.
