Shannon Alexander Schievink, 39, of Nowra, is charged with allegedly firing a sawn-off shotgun during the attack in which he suffered several stab wounds and had to be airlifted to a Sydney hospital for treatment.
Schievink remains in custody and did not attend Nowra Local Court on Monday where charges of discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, using an unauthorised and prohibited firearm and not keeping a firearm safely were heard.
Court papers said the alleged home invasion happened between 10.45am and 11.30am on June 11 this year at North Nowra.
Schievink will reappear in court on October 17.
Two men Benjamin A. Hand, 43, and a co-accused Nickolas Hardes, 34, previously appeared in court, facing a variety of charges including attempted murder over the alleged Goolagong Street attack.
Hand is charged with seven offences, including discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and causing wounding grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
Court papers said Hand was allegedly armed with a home-made gun and a knife at the time of the attack.
Hardes also faced multiple charges including causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, aggravated entering a dwelling with intent to wound, wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and carrying a cutting weapon.
Court papers allege Hardes fired a small gun at Schievink before wounding him with a knife.
Hand and Hardes will reappear in court later this month and in November.
