Shoalhaven City Council has agreed to support the National Indigenous Football Games to be held later this year with in kind and financial support.

Bernie McLeod one of the organiser's of the National Indigenous Football Games asked council for support with the games and council agreed to help with all maintenance to be undertaken prior to the games as well as a cash donation.
Mayor of Shoalhaven City Council Amanda Findley said event was great.
“Last year I met some of the athletes and I was really impressed by their amazing presence,” Cr Findley said.
“To have an event in the Shoalhaven that attracts 3000 people is fantastic.”
Mayor Findley made special mention of Bernie McLeod.
“I am really pleased that you have brought the games to us and that we can support you. We look forward to having the games here in the Shoalhaven,” she said.
She would like to thank the Wreck Bay community and Bernie McLeod for having such a dream.
