‘Let there be drums’ will be held in memory of Anna Pedersen, former secretary, percussionist and friend.
The concert will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 2pm to 4pm at the Nowra School of Arts, 11 Berry Street, Nowra.
The concert features a wide variety of music performed by our Youth Band, Jazz Band and Concert Band.
Anything that can be shaken, blown, hit, rattled and rolled will be on show for all to enjoy.
All funds raised will be donated to the Cancer Council.
Tickets can be bought at the door; $15 for adults and $5 for children.
The Shoalhaven City Concert Band is a community band that has been playing in the Shoalhaven for 23 years.
All woodwind, brass, percussion and string bass musicians are welcome, all ages and standards are catered for.
The band performs throughout the Shoalhaven for community functions, festivals and events.
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at the Nowra School of Arts annex.
New members are always welcome, so if you have an instrument that has been sitting in the cupboard gathering dust for many years, please dust it off and bring it along to a practise and enjoy making music once again.
