A man's body has been found after a house fire in the southern NSW town of Young.

Emergency services were called to a property on Gordon Street at 11pm on Monday and found the building well alight.
Detective Inspector Scott Wilkinson said that, after the blaze was extinguished by firefighters, the body of a 60-year-old man was found inside.
"A crime scene was established, which is being examined by forensic specialists," he said.
"Police are investigating the circumstances of the fire, and we haven't determined if the fire is suspicious or not. Once the forensic services have completed their investigation, we will have a clearer idea as to how the fire started.
"There were people in the neighbouring units, and they are OK, there are no other injuries as far as we are aware.
He said police believed the dead man was a long-term resident, but he had not yet been formally identified. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Young Fire and Rescue NSW captain Ryan Terry said crews extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes.
"The building had a working smoke alarm which probably saved the other units from catching alight," he said.
