Bangkok: An Australian man who has lived in Thailand for 12 years has been caught on CCTV footage allegedly stealing a luggage cart belonging to three Thai women which was left outside toilets at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi international airport.

Thai media reported that 54-year-old John Robertson has been charged with theft and is currently held in custody pending a court hearing.
CCTV footage showed a man identified by police as Mr Roberston taking the trolley into a restroom for the disabled before walking to a foreign exchange booth, where he was arrested.
Police said Mr Robertson admitted taking the trolley and opening the bags but denied stealing anything inside them.
The Thai women said they did not find anything missing and caught their scheduled flight to Dubai.
Mr Roberston told police he was travelling from Thailand to Australia.
If convicted, Mr Robertson could face a fine and up to five years jail.
Police Captain Sitipong Panthaisong, the airport's deputy superintendent of police, warned travellers not to leave their luggage unattended at the airport.
The incident was the second alleged case of luggage theft at the airport in a month.
