ACT Policing Criminal Investigations have been investigating the large fire in the Booderee National Park on September 14.
The fire took several days to control and burnt out 1700 hectares of the Booderee National Park.
Investigations have determined the fire was deliberately lit in the early morning of Thursday, September 14.
Police believe the fire started near Summercloud Bay in the Booderee National Park.
The ignition point is believed to be around a car park area that is popular with surfers and fisherman.
The fire was the subject of an emergency warning on September 14 when southerly winds fanned the blaze towards Jervis Bay Village, cutting off Jervis Bay and Wreck Bay roads.
Numerous firefighters and aircraft, including the large air tanker Thor, worked to slow the spread of the fire towards Jervis Bay Village.
