Aiden Clarke, 22, faces charges of receiving stolen property and two counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Court papers stated Clarke was found with an eftpos machine in July this year that had been stolen from the Tuscany Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant in Kinghorne Street, Nowra.
It is further alleged he attempted on two occasions between July 25-26 to refund himself $50,000 from the business to an ANZ account.
He appeared in Nowra Local Court before Magistrate Susan McGowan.
The matter will be back in court on September 25.
