This has been an outstanding achievement for the club this season, the first time Mariners have had two teams in grand finals. The vibe throughout the club this season is nothing short of amazing.
The grand finals will be held at Fred Finch Park, Berkeley, this coming Saturday, starting at 9am.
Mariners third grade will start the day off playing Wests Illawarra Cardinals at 9am and Mariners second grade will follow, playing Northern Pirates starting at 11.15am.
Both of these games are expected to be close, exciting games. Mariners will focus on having fun and enjoying the game we all love.
We wish all our Mariners players and our oppositions the best of luck and no matter what the outcome of the day we have had a fantastic season and we are very proud of all our Mariners.
On Sunday, Mariners host a Come-and-Try Day for juniors aged between 4 and 14 at Wool Lane Sporting Complex, Cammaray Drive, Sanctuary Point.
The club are looking for 4-to-7-year-olds to play T-Ball, an introduction to baseball while learning the basic skills and having fun; 7-10-year-olds to play Zookaball which is the cross-over between T-Ball and live baseball, still learning skills and having fun; and, 11-14-year-olds for a junior pitch league – still learning skills and having fun. Come along and have a go.
