Two workshops will be held on Wednesday, October 4 at the Kangaroo Valley Hall.
Children will learn basic cheesemaking skills and will get to take home the results of their activities.
This hands on program will include butter making, creating club cheese, crafting labneh balls and brewing fresh ricotta.
Two three hour workshops will be held. The morning session will run from 9am to noon and the second will run from 1pm to 4pm.
Cost is $25, payable at the time of booking. Morning or afternoon tea will be included. Bookings are essential as a maximum of 15 children will be included in each session.
With a cheese making section being introduced this year at the Kangaroo Valley Show, organisers hope it will encourage more children to enter in the 2018 show.
This year’s cheese competition proved popular, with hundreds of entrants impressing judge Carole Willman, who travelled from Melbourne to sort, sniff and taste her way through cheesy goodness.
The 2018 show will be held on Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17.
