There might have been a few people who have acted like children over the years, but finally this is the very first, official Block baby.

The entire Block has been eagerly awaiting news of “Baby Sticks’” arrival – and when Sticks’ wife Terri called to say she was in labour, he was packed and donning his “fancy thongs” quicker than you could say “tools down”.

The dash home in a chopper was probably a bit excessive because it turned out Baby Sticks wasn’t quite ready to make an arrival yet.

After a few days of quality family time however, the big moment had finally arrived… and no one was more excited to hear the news than his great mate Wombat.

Unaware and blissfully relaxing in his Stayz getaway spa with pals Elyse and Josh, Wombat was startled to get a phone call.

It was Sticks. “He’s facetiming,” yelled Wombat, aware of the significance.

Immediately spotting Sticks in his hospital scrubs, Wombat beamed. “Got something to show you,” Sticks said as he proudly held up the honorary Blockhead.

Little Lani Chase had made his much-awaited debut into the world.

Everyone cheered as Sticks looked (justifiably) emotional as he sat with his beautiful family.

But even in one of the biggest moments of his life, Sticks had his eye on the prize.

“The question is, why isn’t Wombat at The Block working?” he quizzed.
