In particular, four Shoalhaven athletes took out their respective awards, edging out more than 180 athletes across more than 20 sports.
Sussex Inlet swimmer Jasmine Greenwood took out the disabled athlete of the year, while Culburra Beach’s Noah Martin claimed the basketball athlete of the year.
Milton’s Kelsey Bennett was rewarded for her play on the greens, winning golf athlete of the year, with North Nowra’s Brooklyn Henry winning triathlon athlete of the year.
Other award winners on the night included; Mitchell Wright (cycling athlete of the year), Tom David (hockey athlete of the year), Keiran Woolley (lonestar athlete of the year), Bilyana Milevski (netball athlete of the year), Abby Holmes (rugby union athlete of the year) and Zowie Dreghorn (ten pin bowling athlete of the year).
