Kylie Ann Watson, 34, pleaded guilty in Nowra Local Court to three counts of receiving financial advantage from a Commonwealth entity.
The court heard on three separate occasions between September 2011 and September 2015 she was overpaid by more than $31,500.
In a case brought by the Department of Human Services (Centrelink), court papers said between September 2011 and March 2012, she was overpaid by $4047; between April 2012 and July 2013 she was overpaid by $12,278; and between October 2013 and September 2015 she was overpaid by $15,303.
Court papers said she was claiming a parenting allowance during these times while also working part-time, casually and full-time with Woolworths and on 50 occasions she had declared her income incorrectly.
Magistrate Chris McRobert placed Watson on a $500 two-year Commonwealth good behaviour bond and ordered she repay $17,303.
