Hayden Shane Espagne, 21, faced a variety of charges in Nowra Local Court on Wednesday including riding a motorbike with an expired licence, not wearing an approved helmet, using an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle, stating a false name or home address, assaulting police and resisting arrest.
About 1.50pm on August 29 police allegedly observed Espagne riding a KTM motorcycle on the Park Drive, Sanctuary Point without any number plates on it.
Police will also allege Espagne was not wearing an approved helmet at the time.
Police stopped the motorbike, and Espagne allegedly provided officers with a false name.
Police allege an officer was also injured while Espagne was trying to push the unregistered bike to a Park Drive address.
It is understood Espagne started the bike and attempted to ride off while a police officer had hold of him. Police claimed the officer was struck with a handle bar.
He also faces an outstanding warrant charge of driving while disqualified from February 2015 in Albury.
Espagne did not apply for bail, which was formally refused by Magistrate Michael Stoddart. The matter will be back in court on September 11.
