Inspired by the unique style of Japanese singer Kyary Pamya Pamya, Nowra Christian School Year 8 student Courtney Nielsen designed a woolen outfit that fit the brief, and knocked the socks off Wool 4 School competition judges.
Courtney’s design was heralded as the best in NSW.
And so, does she want to forge a career in the fashion industry?
“Definitely, if I could, if I’m good enough,” she said.
She designed the outfit in her spare time, aided by teacher Alison Stewart, and buoyed by seven school friends who also entered the country’s most prestigious school kids’ textiles competition.
