Lucas Benjamin Harris, 35, of Coolangatta is charged with aggravated sexual assault-break and enter with intent and sexual intercourse without consent.
Court papers allege Harris met a woman, who he knew, at the North Nowra Tavern on February 13 this year.
After talking and having a couple of drinks, Harris allegedly propositioned the woman, who refused his advance, before she went home.
Sometime between 11pm and 12.45am the next day Harris allegedly broke into the woman's North Nowra home, who awoke to finding him having sex with her.
The woman told Harris to leave and later discovered a back window, which she had left partially open was fully open.
She reported the incident to police.
The matter is listed for trial at Sydney District Court on October 4.
