A Nowra man and woman who allegedly held another woman against her will to gain financial advantaged have appeared in court.

Matthew Leslie Kershaw, 38, and Melissa Crowe, 29, are both charged with the strictly indictable offence of detaining a person with the intent of obtaining advantage.
Crowe is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Court papers said the pair allegedly held another woman between 3.40pm and 7pm on August 16 against her will.
Following police investigations the pair were arrested August 22.
The court heard Kershaw allegedly tried to gain advantage by taking a white Mazda 121, while Crowe allegedly took $27.
They both appeared before Nowra Local Court registrar Martin Kane on Wednesday.
Neither entered any pleas to the charges
Crowe was granted to bail to reappear in court on September 19, while Kershaw was refused bail and will appear before another bail application hearing on Thursday.
