A Sussex Inlet man who received almost $27,000 in Centrelink payments he was allegedly not entitled to has appeared in court.

Anthony Leonardo Zaccone, 33, pleaded not guilty to receiving financial advantage from a Commonwealth entity.
In a case brought by the Department of Human Services [Centrelink], it is alleged he was overpaid $26,984.82 via the Disability Support Pension and Newstart Allowance.
Court papers alleged Zaccone under-declared his income on a number of occasions, while receiving both payments.
It is alleged between July, 2011 and February, 2017 he claimed Newstart allowance despite working full-time with Urban Maintenance Systems.
Between August, 2013 and December, 2014 he also allegedly claimed the Disability Support Pension.
Court papers said on 35 occasions between July, 2011 and February, 2015 he under-declared his income.
He allegedly declared a gross income of just $3088 when in fact he had earned a gross income of more than $60,000
The maximum penalty is a 12-month jail term and a $10,200 fine.
The matter has been listed for a hearing in Nowra on February 7 next year.
