An elderly woman has been airlifted to St Georges Hospital after a head-on collision south of Nowra on the Princes Highway late on Saturday afternoon.

The woman suffered non life-threatening injuries from the accident involving two cars on the intersection of Island Point Road and the Princes Highway, Tomerong.
Traffic has been badly impacted, and residents have been advised to avoid the area.
Police continue to direct traffic safely through the crash site.
Emergency services attended the scene, and continue investigations on the crash.
