His ministry impacted hundreds of churchgoers and community members in Nowra.
From 1984 to 2001, David served as the rector of All Saints Anglican Church, Nowra.
Before his time in Nowra, in the 60s and 70s David lived in the Northern Territory at Roper River and Groote Eylandt as a missionary.
He also ministered at Port Kembla and Oak Flats, and founded All Saints Community Care in Nowra.
Community members are welcome to celebrate David’s life at the funeral service on Friday.
“There will be wonderful stories told including stories about his time among Aboriginal communities in northern Australia,” All Saints Minister Geoff Thompson said.
The service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church Nowra, on the corner of Berry and Plunkett Street on Friday at 1pm.
The burial takes place at Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens at 3pm.
After the burial, afternoon tea will be provided at the church.
