Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock will join five members of the cross-party NSW Parliamentary Working Group on Assisted Dying at the forum.
“This is an opportunity for the community to come along and learn about the details of the bill and what is meant by voluntary assisted dying,” Mrs Hancock said.
The bill proposes terminally ill patients, over 25, with less than 12 months to live, the right to request and receive medical assistance to end their lives.
The session will be held at St Georges Basin Country Club on Saturday, August 12 from 2-4pm.
