In 1987 the Saints Netball Club was formed by a group of St Michael’s Primary school parents who liked the idea of a club where their children could play netball alongside their school mates. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the fruition of this idea and the Saints executive are excited to celebrate and share this milestone with all who have been involved in the club from its conception to the current day.

Over the years the club has grown from only primary aged juniors to the club it is today with a strong presence across all age groups, including seniors. The club also includes children from all schools in the Nowra region, and is one of the largest Nowra-based clubs.
During the 30 years the club has been operating, thousands of girls have donned the Saints uniform, which was originally the St Michael’s sports uniform of blue and red and has transitioned over the years to the current red, white and black, which is seen at the courts each Saturday.
The club is proud of its strong family atmosphere with many players having played alongside their sisters, parents and even some brothers! The club is proud of its many volunteers who have committed their time and energy to ensuring a successful, fun and safe place for everyone to enjoy netball.
To celebrate their 30th anniversary Saints will be hosting a dinner at Club Nowra on August 26 and would like to invite all past and present players, officials, supporters and sponsors to celebrate with them. Tickets are $35 per person and this includes a banquet. Single tickets are available or can be purchased in tables of eight. Contact Kit on 0416 943 527.
