Nowra Men
On Tuesday, the Nowra Vets played one of their fun games. This one was the 4 Person Texas Stableford with best three of the group to score. The course is certainly showing its winter woes and likely to get worse as the season progresses. Some more rain would help and so would Spring.
The best for the girls was Linda Trusler, Shirley Moore, Pat Austin and Ellen Ryan with 123 pts. Balls ran out at 120 pts on c/b. The NTP’s at the 4th went to Lyn Hatchman, the 8th to Pat Austin, Joyce Wallace was good for the 12th and Jan Buttle was closest at the 16th.

Balls ran out at 130 on c/b. The NTP’s at the 4th went to Daryl Campbell, the 8th and ‘jackpot’ to Roger Hardy, Ernie Royston was good for the 12th and Graham Napper was closest at the 16th.
The Wednesday Stableford was a pretty competitive affair. You had to be 40 pts or better to feature in the money. Warwick Stubbles was one who managed 41 pts for first. Col. Grimditch and Brian Hawkins sorted out second and third by c/b with Col taking second. Balls ran out at 35 pts.
The NTP’s at the 4th went to Jim Brown, the 8th to Ron Rice and Michael Kable was good for the 12th.
The August Monthly Medal was generously sponsored by those stalwarts of Nowra Golf Club, Wayne Asher and John Barron. A Big ‘thank you’ guys, especially to JB for his recent donation of NTP cards for the club’s use. Well done!!

Second went to Stephen Page on 65 nett and Leigh Quinn was good for third with his 69 nett. Tony of course got the scratch. The long drive went to Brett Trenerry.

The ‘Mug’ winner John Austin was the ‘C’ grade winner and scratch as well. Second went to Col. Reeve on 68 nett and third to Flash Jordan on 69 nett. Long drive to John Henry. Balls ran out at 71 on c/b.

Second was Fitter with 18 points and he won the nearest the pin on the 5th. Third was Kiwi with 15 points on a countback from the Bushranger. WD40 won today’s raffle.
