TWO women airlifted to Sydney after a head-on motor vehicle accident at Pyree, east of Nowra on Thursday are reported to be in a stable condition.

Police said the 21-year-old woman from Nowra and a 29-year-old woman both suffered broken legs in the accident which happened around 10.40am, 200 metres east of the intersection of Greenwell Point Road and Jindy Andy Lane.
Police said a Mazda 3 being driven east by the 21-year-old and a Holden Commodore being driven west by a 41-year-old Greenwell Point man, collided head-on near the Jindyandy Mill.
A pregnant woman in the man’s car was trapped in the wreckage.
The NSW Ambulance Toll Rescue Helicopter landed in a nearby paddock and both females, after being stabilised at the scene by ambulance paramedics, were airlifted to St George Hospital.
Police continue to investigate the cause accident and would like to hear from any witnesses.
